While year 2006 is approaching with new promises and hopes, we would like to convey our warm wishes to all of you on behalf of "Probash Bangla", the Bangla Cultural Forum of the Briitsh Columbia.
 
Probash Bangla started in 2005 with great enthusiasm to promote our enriched Bangla cultural heritage in the mainstream culture of this country. With all of your blessings and efforts we have come a long way.
 
We are comitted to nourish our culture, tradition and heritage and carry the values of our roots when we are living away from our beautiful motherland.
 
In the journey of excellence, Probash Bangla is pleased to announce that a cultural programme on "Borsho Boron" and "Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti" will be held at 06:30PM, on April the 30th at Douglas College Theatre. A slide show will be shown on
 
"Liberation war of Bangladesh 
Beauty of landscape of our Motherland and
Role of Bangabondhu in liberartion of Bangladesh".
 
The detail agneda of the programme will be communicated to you shortly.   
 
A magazine will also be published on this occassion and you are requested to contribute by sending your write ups for the magazine. A detail requirement and request on this will be sent under separate cover.
 
We cordially invite you to participate and support this programme so that we can all make this a grand success together. We can continue to uplift our cultural heritage and strenghen our bondings in this multicultural society by bringing us all to a common platform.
 
We are confident that all of us will be able to share some enjoyable and memorable moments togther.

Probashbangla Magazine 

Probashbangla is celebrating a Borsho-boron and Rabindra-Nazrul Joyonti on April 30, 2006, at Douglas College Auditorium.  

To commemorate the celebration, we are going to publish a magazine. Bangla write-ups are most welcome and full length write-ups must not exceed two pages. The last date of write-up submission is March 15, 2006. Please be aware that any unpublished write-ups will not be returned to the authors.  

If you want to advertise in the magazine, please send the text of the advertisement with appropriate artwork to us immediately. The rates for advertisements in the magazine are as follows:

  1. last cover page = $500
  2. inner cover page = $300
  3. full page = $150
  4. ˝  page = $ 75
